I notice the pairings seem to be people from opposite alliances, or at least people unlikely to work together. Making things tricky, aren't you, hosty. I could worry about this comp tonight, or I could take another shot (I had friends over). I wonder what I'll pick.............

My friends came over last night for some drunk Mario Kart, and after they left I was dumb and tried to focus on the game. The result was me bitching out Chase (see the convo thread) and asking good, but not perfect, questions to Colleen in the comp. I know I talked some strategy to I think Knox as well, but overall I'm feeling the least in-control that I have in the game.

Henry: (6:53:13 AM) i think youre spot on
Paranoia stems from insecurity. Therefore, when someone comes at you with an anxious or paranoid tone, the best thing you can do is reassure him. I've personally found that a great way to give someone reassurance is to tell them they're right. This is something I didn't actually always do, despite it being apparently intuitive. I sometimes catch myself saying "right" or "exactly" as confirmation instead of telling them I agree with their point. Its a subtle shift, but the phrases I was using previously were suggesting that I was in power, that I already knew what they were reasoning out (I did, though), and that they were behind. If the other person follows that logic trail, then they may become paranoid of me. No bueno.
Thaigo came at me this morning rattling off about 5 different things involving the game that he had learned/suspected in the last 24 hours. It was kind of a lot, the most alarming to me being that he had apparently been told by Cassie and Quincy (who shouldn't be talking to players, imo) that she was going to be doomed on old-Legatu. Personally, I feel that that decision wasn't as final as Cassie thought it was; I think there was a chance we could have voted out Colleen instead by that 3rd round.
I feel like I adequately processed Thaigo's fears/concerns with him and got him back on the same page with trusting me..... at least I hope so. It's 7am and I've accidentally pulled an all-nighter... I could have totally sucked at that convo.

With Chase's non-participation in the challenge, my tribe will either get immunity or Ben will get individual immunity for the TC we would have to attend. Thanks, Chase. I know that I am supposed to have this deal with him, but he's really screwing the pooch, here. At this point, I don't know that I want to do anything to actively help Chase. I'm going to begin, I think, to distance myself from any of his causes, and begin to simply just do whatever I need to to preserve my own arse.
Stay tuned for the results of the IC!

[Blake] Thiago GVSE: (6:38:53 AM) Sorry was showering [Blake] Thiago GVSE: (6:39:08 AM) Took some photos for you to solidify your trustThis last round Thaigo's behavior toward me as become incredibly... sexual. It's weird. I think he's trying to play me like Chad got played last season? Don't get me wrong, I love a good sexual joke just like anyone else, my mind basically lives in the gutter. But if he thinks I'm some gay twink-slut... then he's misplaying me. I'm not mad about Thaigo's behavior, I find him to be very engaging which is nice. It's just been really sudden and I thought it was noteworthy.

I'm not sure I still completely understand what happened, but I came home last night to find out that we won immunity! This win, I'm not sure what to make of it. I think I had some plans set up in place for both of the times that we were nervous that we were going to lose, so not really getting to act out those plans is kinda a bummer. Additionally, another member of Old Legatu may be biting the dust at the upcoming Tribal Council. It's time for us to see if Cassie and Chase had a plan all along (cut a deal) or if they were really dumb in the previous round.

I think the person maybe benefiting the least from Legatu winning isn't Cassie/Chase, it's Wendy. I honestly think Wendy is a more focused player when she's losing. Without the release of voting someone she doesn't like out, all of her nut-so energy gets pent up and she starts seeking out attention like what is beginning to happen. She keeps talking about wanting to meddle in Thaigo/Ellen's relationship, wants to tell Ben to fuck off, and now is going back to her old Cunty ways. In some ways, it feels like a retread for me, she didn't even come up with anything new. I don't think anyone else really cares or gets it because they didn't care about Season 2. At least everyone else in the series is getting to see what I put up with during the OTT mess that was Four Corners.

I think AJ possibly sees the boat sinking for #TeamCassie, so she's pushing hard for a new solid alliance between Me/Her/Mark/Knox/Thaigo. This would be a good group, I think, to combat #TeamEllen. More thoughts on this when it becomes relevant.
