Oh for sure!! One of the best things about having AJ on my tribe is that we can just fool around and have some fun. It makes the game more lighthearted and fun! I will post a confessional soon about our legitimate strategies and my thoughts.

It was nice having last round off and not having to worry about Judgement. Had we been forced to vote someone off, it would’ve been a giant mess. This allowed us more time to come together as a tribe and get to know one another and no be forced to judge each other based off of first impressions. A lot has happened this round because we have been kind of going off the assumption that we will be losing this challenge. Even though we worked well together last night, we did not devote much time to this challenge as a whole. No one has been stepping up and posting layers on their own, and this just continues to show how no one wishes to step up and be a leader. I’m not saying that a tribe needs a leader, but the other tribes do have people who will step up and lead the tribe in the challenges. We don’t have that. Even though Henry is arguably the biggest challenge asset we have, he refuses to step up. I guess that’s his strategy, but I expected more out of him coming into this game. I think that he probably doesn’t want to come off as a threat. So that’s his perogative.

At first, Henry was my first target. He is just shady to me. I don’t think he trusts me, and that makes me feel like I can’t trust him. As much as I would love to team up with him and run this game, I feel like he is holding back from me, and that worries me. However, AJ and I are already butting heads over how the vote should go down. I confided in her how Henry is my first choice to go, and she claims that Henry is her last choice to go. She told me she absolutely would not vote for Henry, even if everyone else was. This was sort of frustrating to me. I was not mad at AJ by any means, but she will continue to play the game based off of her relationships and friendships, expecting them to protect her. It is a viable strategy, and kudos to her for continuing to execute it, but there’s not reasoning with her about the votes. If it is someone that she doesn’t want to vote off, she won’t. Perhaps I am being a tad selfish by wanting Henry gone…So I had to compromise. I approached Henry and told him that I was interested in forming an alliance between him, AJ, and myself. What worries me most about Henry is his constant references back to AJ and me being close. He has brought it up several times, and he continues to try to persuade me that he will not vote off AJ. While this may be true, I feel like he is using it as some sort of pedestal to gain my trust as well. However, AJ will not turn against him, so the best thing I can do is try to get him on my side. I would be willing to let this alliance of 3 last long-term. But that depends on how Henry will act during the remainder of the game. If I feel like he will be turning on me, I will need to make the first move against him. Many twists lie in the future of this game, so I do not think that I can say, “Oh, this is my final 3, 100%!”

Quincy is someone who seems genuine, and we have not really talked strategy so far. He would’ve been my next choice to go, but then AJ and I discussed it…I just can’t think of a reason to persuade others to vote off Quincy. He isn’t the biggest threat on our tribe, he isn’t the weakest link, I don’t believe he has tons of allies in this game…I’m left blank. And in order to vote off a non-season 3 person without revealing a season 3 alliance, there needs to be a valid reason behind the vote. That just doesn’t exist with Quincy. Besides, he will be winning individual immunity if we win this challenge. So I was able to disregard him as a possibility so far.

AJ originally wanted to vote off Colleen first. I had to tell her that voting off Colleen would be like cutting off one of our hands in this game. I’m not saying we should go with season 3 to the very end of this game. I don’t trust that Colleen would be loyal to me over people like Ellen or Ben. However, we do not know how long we will stay within these tribes before a swap. And what is for certain is that Colleen will not turn on AJ, Chase, or myself while on this tribe. Colleen is probably the person who is most supportive of a season 3 alliance. So, it would not be smart for me to let go of Colleen this early. Especially because I am probably the person she trusts the most on this tribe. So even though Colleen has been lackluster in challenges and perhaps the least social in our group, I do not want to vote her off just yet. I’d be willing to vote her off 2nd, but not first. Besides, I told her I wouldn’t vote for her. So I want to try to honor that as best as I can.

Then there is Thiago…I really wanted to trust Thiago, and I do like him as a person. However, he just comes off as a manipulator to me. I didn’t really think so until last night. He approached me and asked how I felt about the game and if I was stressed out. Actually, maybe I should give an excerpt from our conversation to make it easier.

So I immediately am concerned. I mean this rounds like a big deal, right? Two people are talking to me. My thoughts naturally run to the worst case scenario. Then this:

Thiago: (11:17:34 PM)and at one point during the convos it came up that there was an "obvious" pair on my tribe

Thiago: (11:18:44 PM)and the other i asked if you two were irl friends and they said not that they knew but that you two have talked every day for a very long time and have each others numbers and everything

So he was approaching me asking me about my relationship with AJ. I have nothing to hide, so I tell him everything. People know AJ and I are close, and that will be an obstacle we will have to deal with in this came. But AJ is close with like sooo many people, so I’m hoping that deflects attention a little bit….but I don’t know. The way Thiago approached me about this was somewhat off-putting. Then he told me how people who knew each other pre-game didn’t worry him, and he began somewhat bashing Ellen and his relationship with her. I just feel like Thiago approached me about this to gain my trust. Someone very well may have approached him about AJ and me being an “obvious pair”, but now I feel like he is using as a marketing tool to get on my good side. As much as I want to take it as a genuine warning, I know that he plays hard. I just don’t like feeling manipulated, and I feel like Thiago is psychologically trying to manipulate me. The way he asked if I was stressed before telling me as if he cared…the way he dramatically and heroically was warning me…I don’t know…it’s just a red flag for me. I would love to get to know him outside of this game, but I do not feel like I can trust him within this game. So if we do in fact lose this immunity challenge, he will most likely be the person I will aim to target.
