If I had to rank order everyone left in the game based on how hard they were trying, Colleen would have been likely last on the list. She just wasn't making any effort whatsoever to talk to me, wasn't strong in comps, and certainly wasn't an idol hunter. The excessive amount of idols in this game has caused weaker players to get targeted, leaving a stronger field than normal for the Final 8. Consider on top of that that this is an All Star game, and I really am going to have to bring everything I got if I want to be in the Final 3. With only 5 judgements remaining before we get to that point, I'm going to begin to shift my focus from just surviving to setting up my plan for how I'm going to beat all these other people in the end.

If I had to wager, I would think that the most beatable person for me in the F3 is Knox. (Sorry dude!) I think I want him there because he'll get confrontational with the jury. Last night I made sure to reach out to Knox to tell him that I want him at the end of the game with me. He seemed generally receptive to me about the idea, though he commented he thought I'd beat him if we were both there. Unfortunately, I found out that he accidentally copy/pasted our conversation into a google hangout that Cassie/AJ/Knox/Thiago were having. I know at least Thiago read it. I had to assure Thiago that he was the other person that I wanted with me in the Final 3, even though I'm not so sure I actually want that to happen. Who else would I want in the Final 3? I was leaning toward AJ, but Knox made a good point as to why it should be Cassie that sits in that third spot. Regardless, if I can stay on Knox's good side, I want to get him and I to the end.

For those of you who are just viewing, let me make this clear, this really may be the hardest IC that I've ever participated in. Any element of this challenge would have been hard on its own, but combining the three elements together make it pretty much impossible. Had the video been something that repeated itself a little less, I think I could have been more sure about the key and had more success. But if I can't even be sure the letters I'm using are correct, then I have no idea where to even really start putting together words. Most of the "harder" questions came from the later seasons, and I just don't have the time to go through confessionals to look for the answers. I am typically not the person to give up on a comp, but since I won't be here to get the extra clue at 7pm, I'm not going to put any more time into this. Ah well, off to judgement I'll go.

Ok so we finally were able to finish the IC last night with live clues from Hosty. I was really so far off that I can't say that I put a ton of effort into completing the challenge. I still think it's best for me at this point to focus more of my energy on building trust and relationships vs. being a comp whore. Dom won which surprised no one, instead the surprise came from Morgan.
I was stoked to hear about the idol comp. Despite my rep, I haven't been very good at finding idols this season. I felt great about this challenge. Things went almost too good, as I was completely forgotten about until the Final 3 of the comp! Oops. My tribemates have dubbed me Purple Henry because of how MOR I've been, but that's not a rep that I want to bring into the Final 3. As you viewers know I've had my hand in a lot this season, but if my reputation is one of a floater I won't have great odds to win.
One other notable thing from the challenge. Thiago picked Ben and Dom to compete instead of Ellen in the second matchup. I found this suspicious, since Thiago admitted at the start of this game to having a friendship with Ellen. I asked Thiago about this after the comp, and he just said that, out of the three, Ellen was the least dangerous person to get an idol because she's greedy and will play it on herself. The quickness of his reply and how logical the argument was caused me to believe him. For now, I have no reason to believe our alliance will be turning on each other.

I suggested to the others after the comp that we split this vote 3 for Ellen and 2 for Ben. I want to keep Ben in because he's been reaching out to me the last 2 rounds, and Ellen's possible relationship with Thiago worries me.
The logic behind the split is this: last round Team Ellen had an idol so they split their votes 2-2, lest there were 2 correct idol plays. If they DO have an idol to play this judgement, I have every reason to believe that they may split their votes again 2-1. If so, we'll have our bases covered. If not, well, it's the exact same situation as putting 5 votes on Ellen.
There is obviously some risk to this plan. If one person wanted to flip their vote, they could, however the only person with reservations about voting out Ellen is Thiago, and he could flip if he wanted to anyway with his idol. I also think, at this point, it would be jury suicide to flip alliances a la Cochran. I feel ok with this plan that I came up with.
